Very nice story, and well written. The John & Helena focus typical of a Y2 character focus style was not overbearing and very tolerable. The character portrayal of Helena was excellent.
The premise of planets influencing the genetic properties of animals as a means of ultimate self preservation was thoughtful and interesting.
Well done and an interesting read!

a very clever story, with a great - and alarming! - plot twist. None of which gets in the way of storytelling - it's still very much an Space: 1999 story.
